Richard Decor began as a single cutting table and two machinists. The table is still in the building. What has changed is how many rooms it now serves — and how far they are from it.
Everything under one roof
Specification, cutting, sewing, hardware, installation and aftercare all happen within the same team. Nothing is subcontracted — the moment any stage leaves the building, the standard becomes somebody else’s to hold.
A single maker sees an order from cutting table to final press. It is slower than splitting the work across a line, and it is the reason panels from opposite ends of a nine-metre run still read as one piece of cloth.

Built to outlast the fashion for it
The most sustainable curtain is the one still hanging in twenty years. We buy from mills that can tell us where the fibre came from, we hold nothing below 40,000 Martindale, and we repair rather than replace under warranty.
- Offcuts over 30 cm are returned to the cushion and sample programme
- Crating is reusable and collected on the next delivery in the region
- Motors are serviced and rebuilt, not swapped, for the life of the warranty
